My wife Sabrina and I own a full service flooring company in Boca Raton. We sell and install marble, tile, carpet, wood, bamboo and tile. We attended a Biz to Biz networking meeting at Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Boca Raton. We were talking with a young woman that was also networking. She mentioned her father was looking for some laminate flooring so the next day we followed up and made an appointment with her father and sold him laminate flooring. Very soon after completion we received a call from his neighbor who also purchased laminate. That sale was over $5,000.00 of flooring. They were thrilled with our price and service. We were then recommended to a relative of the original customer in Jupiter and this was a $14,000.00 flooring project. He also recommended us to a woman in the next building for carpeting and that project was a $2,000.00 carpet job. The second customer recommended us to the people on the other side of him and it was a $10,000.00 wood floor job. Next week we are installing an $11,000.00 Bamboo floor in the same building with recommendations from the others. Without networking these are people we would have never reached. All of these customers are happy with our price, installation and customer service.
Networking does work. During our Biz to Biz Networking we were lucky enough to meet Paul Kavanagh from Edward Jones who has completely rescued both my wife and I with our 401k’s in today’s market. We are members of many networking groups and find that the Biz to Biz has been the most successful for us as well as the most comfortable atmosphere. We look forward to a long relationship with the Biz to Biz Networking group.
